2019 International Conference

Held for the first time in 1992, AREUEA's annual International Conference over the years has become the leading conference to address global developments in international topics that affect real estate and urban economics. AREUEA membership now include individuals and libraries from over 45 countries around the world.

General Conference Information

The American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association (AREUEA) is pleased to announce the 2019 annual international conference will be held at Bocconi University in Milan, Italy, June 24-26.

Bocconi University, founded in 1902, was the first Italian university to grant a degree in economics. Bocconi's modern campus lies in the heart of Milan, 20 minutes walking from the Dome. It has more than 14,500 students, a faculty of 1,400 members and an administrative staff of 600. The university is part of prestigious international university networks, which hold the top spots in world rankings.

The conference has been organized by BAFFI CAREFIN, GREEN and SDA Bocconi School of Management.

Call for Papers

The 2018 American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association (AREUEA) International Conference will be held at Bocconi University in Milan, Italy. Theoretical and empirical contributions centered around research in urban economics, real estate markets, housing economics and finance, development and investment, real estate finance, and other related areas. are welcomed. All plenary and parallel sessions will take place on June 24-26, with an optional tour to the Como Lake on June 27.

Submission Guidelines

Submissions of well-developed abstracts or preferably full papers in PDF format should be made by email at areuea@unibocconi.it by March 1, 2019. Submitted abstracts should be of one or two pages in length, comprising (1) overview, (2) methods, (3) results and (4) conclusions. The abstract should contain the lead author's complete contact details (mailing address, phone, e-mail). All submissions will undergo the regular peer review process. Notification of submission acceptance in oral or poster sessions is expected by March 15, 2019.
