Job Summary

The School of Business Department of Finance, Center for Real Estate at the University of Connecticut invites applications from candidates in the areas of real estate/finance for a full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of associate or full professor, beginning fall 2010. All candidates must hold a Ph.D. in real estate, finance, or economics from an accredited institution.  Equivalent foreign degrees are acceptable. Applicants must have an active and nationally recognized program of academic research complemented by an established record of publications in top-tier journals in areas related to real estate, finance and economics. In addition, candidates must have demonstrated excellence in teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels. An international reputation as a scholar in the field is desirable. Leadership potential is desirable as there is a possibility that the position could include administrative responsibilities related to the Real Estate Center, including serving as Real Estate Center Director. The candidate should have demonstrated ability to work effectively with and communicate with many diverse constituents including students, alumni, school administrators, industry leaders and participants as well as academic researchers,  Prior work or consulting experience with the real estate industry and/or with executive education are desirable.
