Submissions are invited in the following areas:

  • Valuation and pricing;
  • The operation of housing markets; and
  • Behavioural research in real estate.

The programme will contain no more than 16 papers, each of which will have two discussants.  There will be time allocated for a full discussion of each of the papers.  The full paper will be required ONE MONTH in advance and its receipt will be a condition for financial support (see below).

Authors of papers presented at the seminar have the option to receive an expedited review at the Journal of Property Research, the Journal of European Real Estate Research and the Journal of Real Estate Research.

The number of places is restricted and only authors, invited discussants and session chairs will be eligible for financial support.  All participants are expected to discuss at least one of the papers.

Costs

There are no conference fees for anyone invited to attend, whether presenting a paper or acting as a discussant or chairing a session.

Accommodation and meals (including the two dinners) will be met in full for one author for each paper, plus invited discussants and session chairs.  Where there are co-authors attending, funds may be available to subsidise the costs of accommodation and meals for the second author.

Support will be available for the travel costs of authors of each accepted paper, up to £100 for the UK and Ireland, £250 for Europe and £750 for the rest of the world.  These amounts are for each paper.

Partners are also welcome to attend the dinners but no other financial support will be available.
