University of Memphis, Professor of Real Estate

The Department of Finance, Insurance, and Real Estate in the Fogelman College of Business & Economics at the University of Memphis is seeking qualified applicants for a tenure-track professor and the Martha and Robert Fogelman Family Chair in Sustainable Real Estate. The position is effective starting from fall 2021, pending available funding. Responsibilities include effectively teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in real estate, developing a stream of quality research and externally funded research projects, as well as fulfilling professional and university service responsibilities. The department is an academically diverse, research-oriented group of 13 full-time faculty members. The department offers degree programs at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels and the college is fully accredited by AACSB International. For more information about the School, visit


Ph.D. in real estate or Ph.D. in finance and evidence of academic training or quality research in real estate is required. Demonstrated teaching effectiveness and strong research record are required. Current associate professors with outstanding research and teaching are encouraged to apply. Online teaching experience and professional engagement activities are strongly desired.
