CALL FOR PAPERS
THE GLOBAL CRISIS IN HOUSING AFFORDABILITY
The International Journal of Urban Sciences (IJUS), an interdisciplinary journal for scientific research and analytical methods on urban and regional studies https://www.tandfonline.com/toc/rjus20/current is issuing a call for papers on the topic of housing affordability. Professors George Galster (Wayne State University) and Kwan Ok Lee (National University of Singapore) will serve as Guest Editors of this special issue. They welcome proposals for papers analyzing the context, causes, consequences, and policy responses related to the growing international challenge of providing decent, affordable housing for all. Scholars from economics, geography, planning, political science, sociology, and urban studies are encouraged to submit proposals. Papers addressing these issues from the perspective of women, people of color, and the Global South are especially welcome.
The submission process consists of two steps. The first involves the electronic submission by March 31, 2019 of an abstract of no more than 250 words to the Special Issue Guest Editors [https://think.taylorandfrancis.com/ijus-2019cfa1/]. They will invite full papers by April 15, 2019 based on their evaluations of these abstracts. All invited papers must be submitted by July 15, 2019, and will be double-blind, peer-reviewed. The Special Issue Editors are committed to prompt reviews with an aim toward the Special Issue of IJUS appearing in early 2020.
