University of Hong Kong, Tenure-Track Assistant Professor/Associate Professor in Real Estate Finance and Economics

Applications are invited for a tenure-track appointment as Associate Professor/Assistant Professor in Real Estate Finance and Economics in the Department of Real Estate and Construction to commence on September 1, 2018.  The post will initially be made on a three-year fixed-term basis with the possibility of renewal and with consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second three-year appointment.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in the relevant field and a track record of research in the economics of real estate development and investment or related fields. They should also have a demonstrated track record of or potential for contributing to the Department's and the Faculty's interdisciplinary research agenda which include, but not limited to, institutional analysis of built environment. Professional qualifications such as full members of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors are desirable. Undergraduate programs and Taught Masters programs offered by the Department are accredited by a number of international and local built environment professional bodies. Experience in teaching and course administration of similar professionally accredited programs would be an advantage. The appointee is expected to teach and lead courses that involve application of economic principles to solve problems in real estate development and investment at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
